Catellus Development Corporation & Opportunity Home San Antonio Announce Homebuilders for Victoria Commons

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 6, 2024) – Catellus Development Corporation (Catellus) and Opportunity Home San Antonio are excited to unveil the homebuilders selected for the initial phase of the Victoria Commons redevelopment in downtown San Antonio. CVF Homes and Wes Peoples Homes have been chosen to develop 63 single-family homes, featuring three to four bedrooms each. With construction now in progress, the first homes are slated to be ready for occupancy as early as fall 2024.

Catellus conducted a rigorous selection process to identify the builders for Victoria Commons. CVF Homes, a San Antonio-based firm renowned for its sustainable building practices and preservation of historic neighborhoods, will oversee the development of 13 homes within Victoria Commons. These homes will feature three distinct floor plans, each offering three or four bedrooms. CVF Homes is recognized for its sustainable design philosophy, integrating cutting-edge technology and energy-efficient systems while minimizing environmental impact. Juan M. Wes Peoples Homes, an Austin-based builder with over four decades of experience, will construct 50 homes within Victoria Commons. The company will develop 42 townhomes with eight floor plan options, as well as eight detached single-family homes with zero-lot lines, offering three different floor plans. Wes Peoples Homes is renowned for its commitment to crafting residences that enhance residents’ quality of life.

The Victoria Commons project, a mixed-income community developed by Catellus in partnership with Opportunity Home San Antonio, aims to provide a diverse range of housing options, including single-family and multifamily residences.
