SAN ANTONIO, TX — As weather continues to play a major factor this Independence Day, many cities across the San Antonio area have been forced to make last-minute changes to their Fourth of July celebrations. While some events have been canceled, others are moving forward with slight modifications or weather monitoring in place. Here’s the latest update as of 1 PM on July 4, 2025:
Moving Forward (for now)
City of Leon Valley:
Despite earlier rainfall, the 10 a.m. site assessment revealed no major issues with park conditions. Event organizers have made minor layout changes and are keeping an eye on the weather, particularly a predicted downpour around 2 p.m. As of now, the event will proceed, with fireworks scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Organizers will reassess again this afternoon.
Boerne:
The City of Boerne confirmed at noon that their fireworks display is still scheduled to take place as planned. Updates will be provided if anything changes.
Fair Oaks Ranch:
The Fourth of July celebration at the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club is still on. Gates will open at 6 p.m. for festivities.
Floresville:
The City of Floresville’s Independence Day festival is continuing as planned. Expect food, drinks, live music, and fireworks later in the evening.
San Antonio Missions Baseball Game:
Although tonight’s game has been suspended due to weather, the concert and fireworks show are still scheduled to take place. Country artist Wade Bowen is set to take the stage at 9:45 p.m.
City of San Antonio Official Celebration:
As of 1 p.m., the city’s official July 4th celebration is still a go. Residents are advised to keep an eye on city social media pages for live updates in case weather conditions shift.
City of Windcrest:
Windcrest held its annual parade earlier today, continuing the tradition despite rainy conditions.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas:
All July 4th celebrations and scheduled events at Six Flags are still moving forward.
SeaWorld San Antonio:
SeaWorld’s Independence Day celebration remains on schedule with fireworks and entertainment expected to continue into the evening.

The 2025 Fourth of July Parade has been officially canceled due to inclement weather. Unfortunately, there are no plans to reschedule the event.
🎆 Fireworks Still Scheduled

Kerrville – 4th on the River:
Kerrville’s annual Fourth on the River celebration has been canceled due to conditions beyond the city’s control. This includes all associated events and festivities.
