Boerne Hosts World Series Celebration for Little League Team

Boerne, TX – August 26, 2024 — The City of Boerne, in partnership with the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, is throwing a Texas-sized celebration to welcome home the Boerne Little League team, who have punched their ticket to the U.S. Finals in the World Series. The entire community is invited to join the festivities on Monday, August 26th, as the city shows its pride for the boys and their incredible achievement.

The celebration will feature a variety of food, drinks, and activities for all ages:

– 🍔 Whataburger will be on-site, handing out free sample-sized Patty Melts.
– 🍧 Chloe Belle’s Shaved Ice and Sweet E’s Treats will have their food trucks available with delicious treats for purchase.
– 🥨 Salty and Sweet will serve up popcorn and pretzel bites.
– 🥤 United Texas Credit Union is providing juice, while H-E-B will offer bottled water and set up water stations to help everyone stay cool.

For the younger fans, there will be two face painters on-site, adding a fun and festive touch to the event.

The celebration kicks off at 4:45 p.m., with the community lining Main Street at 5:00 p.m. The Boerne Little League team will receive a one-of-a-kind escort beginning at 5:15 p.m., culminating at Main Plaza, where everyone is encouraged to gather and give the team the hero’s welcome they deserve.
