Bobbie’s Cafe Relocates to New Southside Location and Expands to Northside San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas (July 31, 2024) — Bobbie’s Cafe and Pie Bar, a beloved Southside diner renowned for its generous scratch-made fare and Southern comfort food, is excited to announce significant changes and expansions. The Ferris family, fourth-generation owners of the iconic restaurant, are relocating their original Southside location and opening a new site on the Northside of San Antonio.
Relocation and Expansion Plans
After 38 cherished years at 6728 S. Flores St., Bobbie’s Cafe will be moving to a new Southside location at 1922 Goliad Rd., San Antonio, TX 78223. This move, prompted by the sale of their current building, allows Bobbie’s to continue serving its loyal customers with double the space. Chef Greg Ferris expressed his gratitude, stating, “We couldn’t be more grateful to continue serving our South Texas comfort food and hopefully reach new guests.”
Despite the transition, Chef Ferris assures that the move will be smooth, saying, “There will be a temporary gap in service on the Southside, but rest assured, it won’t be long!”
New Northside Location
In addition to the Southside relocation, Bobbie’s Cafe is expanding with a second location at the Embassy Oaks Shopping Center, previously home to Magnolia Pancake Haus. The new 5,300 square-foot venue at 606 Embassy Oaks, San Antonio, TX 78216, will introduce Bobbie’s beloved dishes to a new area, promising the same cozy atmosphere and hearty menu. Ana Ferris expressed her excitement about the expansion: “We want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support over the years. Our Southside community has been essential to our success, and we wouldn’t be where we are without all of you!”
