SAN ANTONIO — After 25 years of serving the community, Biff Buzby’s Burgers has announced it will close indefinitely, with its final day of operation scheduled for December 31.
The announcement was shared in a heartfelt message to customers, describing the decision as one made after extensive reflection and with “incredibly heavy hearts.” Since opening its doors in the late 1990s, the restaurant has become a longtime staple for locals, known not only for its burgers but also for the sense of community it fostered over the decades.
“For 25 years, this place has been so much more than a burger joint,” the owners shared. “It has been a gathering place, a second home, a dream come true, and a true labor of love.”
Throughout its run, Biff Buzby’s Burgers served generations of families, watched children grow up, and became a familiar setting for celebrations, everyday meals, and conversations that turned into lasting memories. The owners credited the restaurant’s longevity to the continued support of the community, thanking customers, staff past and present, and everyone who walked through the doors over the years.
The message reflected a mix of sadness, gratitude, and pride in what was built, noting that the decision to close was not an easy one. “Through the good times and the hard times, you showed up for us—day after day, year after year—and for that, we are endlessly grateful,” the statement read.
In addition to the final day of service on December 31, the restaurant will hold a closing sale from January 2 through January 4. During the sale, all items inside the restaurant will be available for purchase, including furniture, equipment, décor, and other fixtures, as everything must go.
While no details have been shared regarding the future of the space or the possibility of reopening, the owners emphasized that the legacy of Biff Buzby’s Burgers lives on through the memories created within its walls.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 25 incredible years,” the message concluded. “While this chapter is coming to an end, the love, memories, and gratitude we feel will stay with us forever.”
