Bexar County Warming Centers Open to Provide Relief During Winter Storm

San Antonio, TX – As temperatures drop and a winter storm approaches, Bexar County has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents. Warming centers will be open from Sunday, January 14, at 9:00 PM, until Wednesday, January 18, at 8:00 AM, offering a refuge for those in need.

These warming centers, listed in the Winter Storm Resource Guide, are designed to provide vital resources including shelter, basic necessities, power access, device charging stations, and free Wi-Fi. Recognizing the importance of a warm and secure environment during extreme weather conditions, Bexar County aims to offer assistance to those facing challenges due to the winter storm.

In collaboration with the San Antonio Office of Emergency Management (SA OEM Prepare), multiple locations have been identified to serve as warming centers across the city. Residents are encouraged to seek refuge and stay warm at the following sites:
