The century old Aztec Theatre building is getting a nice addition to its roof. San Antonio based Overland Partners is overseeing the design and construction ofย a multi-purpose rooftop event space that would accommodate about 220 guests.
January 2018, the San Antonio Historic and Design Review Commission gave the green light to the project that will add a bar, rooftop terrace and more to the building.
Construction will begin in September expanding the building’s facade by 22 feet that allows for more space and an enhanced skyline view of downtown San Antonio.
As part of the construction work, the second-floor of the historic building will also undergo modifications that will better accommodate pre and post events as well as lovely private space that can be rented out.
The construction should wrap up by August 2020.
