SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 23, 2024) – As summer arrives, Aquatica, Texas’s premier waterpark, is making a big splash by offering a mix of serene relaxation spots and thrilling water slides, rides, and attractions, along with unique animal interactions. Guests are in for a treat this season with the introduction of the all-new water playground, Tikitapu Splash, and two new dining options, Surfside Chicken Hut and Papa’s Papas. The park kicks off daily operations this Friday, May 24th, just in time for Memorial Day weekend and the official start of summer.
New Attractions and Dining Options
Aquatica’s latest attraction, Tikitapu Splash, is a vibrant water playground designed for kids and kids at heart, providing a cool refuge from the blazing Texas sun. This expansive 15,000 square-foot playland features:
Three giant buckets, each dumping over 1325 gallons of water, creating refreshing moments for those below.
Four exciting water slides designed for thrill-seekers of all ages.
Over 100 new spray and play elements, including gushing geysers, colorful water cannons, waterspouts, and more.
In addition to the new attractions, Aquatica introduces two new dining choices. Guests can feast on tasty fried chicken at Surfside Chicken Hut or enjoy fresh-cut fries topped with a variety of savory add-ons at Papa’s Papas. Visitors can also indulge in SeaWorld 60th Anniversary treats, including limited-time cupcakes, cookies, and specialty adult beverages.

Known for its resort-like atmosphere, Aquatica offers relaxing pools, shaded cabanas, and plenty of loungers for guests to unwind. For those seeking adrenaline-pumping fun, the park features several intense waterslides:
Riptide Race: A dueling racer where guests compete to the finish line.
Ihu’s Breakaway Falls: The tallest drop slide in Texas.
