Annual chalk festival to take over Houston street
Chalk It Up’s annual takeover of the Main and Houston Street intersection will take place 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. October 12th. The day will be filled with artists who will create murals right on the sidewalks and street. The public can partake in a free open chalk session on the streets as well where a community mural will be made. There will be food trucks and live entertainment to enjoy.
The event is free and open to the public of all ages. Proceeds will go to the Artpace Teen Council, which is a program designed for high school students pursuing art.
