San Antonio, TX — Beloved brunch spot Alamo Biscuit Co. & Panadería is gearing up to bring its signature blend of delicious food and local charm to Downtown San Antonio. Announcing its third location, the restaurant will open in March 2025 along the iconic San Antonio River Walk, adjacent to the Rivercenter Mall. This highly anticipated expansion marks a significant milestone for the brand, which has become a staple of San Antonio’s vibrant culinary scene.

The new location, situated at 849 E. Commerce St., will feature 7,000 square feet of indoor dining space and a 1,200-square-foot outdoor patio overlooking the River Walk. With seating for 250 guests, a full liquor and espresso bar, and an expanded menu, the restaurant aims to become a prime destination for locals and tourists alike.

“For us to have the opportunity to open on the San Antonio River Walk is an incredible honor and a blessing,” said Alamo Biscuit Co. owner John Vale, a proud UTSA graduate and Edinburg, Texas native. “In just five years, we’ve grown from an idea into a beloved local brand. Being part of the River Walk — one of the best locations in Texas — is a dream come true. We are grateful to share our passion for food and community with such a wide audience.”

This expansion positions Alamo Biscuit Co. to be a key player on the River Walk, which draws over 12 million visitors annually. The restaurant will occupy a space previously held by Enrique Tomás, a Spanish restaurant and bar, and bring its vibrant, local flair to this prime location near the Marriott Rivercenter.

In preparation for its grand opening, the restaurant will begin hiring in January 2025, seeking to fill 80 to 100 roles, including management, servers, cooks, and dishwashers. Updates on job opportunities will be available through the restaurant’s website and social media channels.
