AAA Texas is offering its Tipsy Tow service this July 4th celebration at no charge for the first 10 miles. If you are in need of the service, call 1-800-222-4357 or 1-800-AAA-HELP to make tow arrangements to get you and your vehicle home safe. The tow service will be available in San Antonio and statewide beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday till 6 a.m. Friday.
For tow rides over 10 miles, AAA Texas will charge the rate by the tow truck contractor, which is better than getting a DWI or a wreck. You don’t have to be part of AAA to utilize the service. This is for a one-time, one-way ride only.
There are some situations that a tow will not apply for the following:
- Your vehicle is inoperable
- Request a tow to another drinking establishment, repair facility, or other than the driver’s home, hotel, AirBnb that the guest is registered at.
- A request to start up a vehicle, unlock a vehicle, change a flat tire, deliver gas, or other vehicle maintenance.
- People without cars, using the tow truck as a personal taxi service.
