The Poteet Strawberry Festival Association welcomes all attendees to one of Texas’ most beloved traditions, promising a safe, exciting, and memorable weekend for visitors of all ages.

Held annually every April, the Poteet Strawberry Festival has grown into one of Texas’ largest and most beloved celebrations, featuring:

Located in the heart of the Artesian Belt, Poteet is officially recognized as the “Strawberry Capital of Texas.” The festival dates back to 1948, when the Poteet Rotary Club organized the first-ever event to celebrate the region’s rich strawberry-growing history.
Each year, more than 100,000 visitors attend the festival, making it one of the biggest agricultural and cultural events in Texas.

The Poteet Strawberry Festival Association ensures that guests have access to authentic, locally grown Poteet strawberries during festival weekend. To guarantee authenticity:
✔ Genuine Poteet strawberries are sold in newly designed boxes labeled “Fresh Produce – Poteet, Texas.”
✔ Local growers sell directly on festival grounds to ensure festival-goers get the best berries.
✔ Due to high demand, outside markets often try to sell non-local berries—guests should look for official labels to ensure authenticity!

📚 Scholarships: Investing in the Future
For over 20 years, the Poteet Strawberry Festival Association (PSFA) has awarded scholarships to local students pursuing higher education.
✔ Annually funds approximately 30 scholarships
✔ Provides continuing scholarships for students who maintain good grades
✔ Supports church, school, and civic organizations that donate scholarships
The festival not only honors tradition but also supports future generations, helping young people achieve their academic and career goals.
