6th annual crawfish festival takes over Retama Park this March
March 3rd starts the 6th annual Big TX Fest Crawfish festival runs through March 19, 2023 on the Retama Park grounds at 1 Retama Parkway in Selma, TX.
While there are no online ticket sales for this event, there won’t be a problem to grab tickets over at the event itself. We have to say that the admission is cash only. It is $12 per adult and $8 per child. Children under the height of 36 inches are free.
Vendors for food, beer, bar and shopping take either cash or card.
There will be a crawfish eating contest happening on March 11th at 4pm. But act quickly because the last day to register is on March 9th. There is a $500 cash prize for first place, $150 for second and $50 and third.
Bring the family so they can enjoy the carnival, petting zoo and pony rides that are open daily. The petting zoo is free with admission and open daily if the weather permits.
The carnival takes “Magic Money” that can be purchased with either cash or card.
There is a new animal encounter section for an additional fee that features a tortoise, kangaroo and water buffalo encounters.
