SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 29, 2024) – This holiday season, JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is thrilled to host ICE! featuring Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! from November 23, 2024, through January 5, 2025. Created by Gaylord Hotels, this beloved holiday tradition is making its way to six locations across the U.S. for the season, offering guests and visitors an unforgettable winter wonderland experience.

Kept at a brisk 9 degrees Fahrenheit, ICE! showcases over 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures depicting the whimsical world of Who-ville, crafted by a team of 40 master artisans from Harbin, China. These artists, using skills passed down through generations, will create detailed, life-sized scenes of the Grinch, Max, Cindy-Lou Who, and 20 other characters from Dr. Seuss’s classic tale. Spanning nearly 20,000 square feet, the experience features two-story ice slides, intricate sculptures towering up to 30 feet high, and a stunning life-size Nativity scene. Signature blue parkas will be provided to guests as they walk through the frosty world.

In addition to ICE!, the JW Marriott’s annual Hill Country Christmas celebrations will feature family-friendly holiday activities spread across 40,000 square feet of winter fun in the resort’s Exhibit Ballroom, transformed into Reindeer Ridge. Popular holiday attractions will return alongside new activities, ensuring a memorable Christmas experience for visitors of all ages.
