Mambo Seafood Closes Lackland Location Permanently

Mambo Lackland

Mambo Seafood has officially closed its Lackland-area restaurant located at 1446 SW Loop 410. The closure appears to be permanent, as both the restaurant’s official website and Google listing now mark the location as permanently closed.

This marks the end of operations at one of the city’s popular spots for seafood lovers on the West Side. The Lackland location had served the community for almost a year with their signature dishes like Mambo Rice, fried fish platters, and micheladas.

“Mambo Seafood’s core values are rooted in our commitment to our people and our community. We have made the difficult decision to consolidate our Lackland location, focusing on having one restaurant rather than two in close proximity. By streamlining our operations, we can better support our employees, enhance our service, and continue to be a valued member of the San Antonio community. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our employees, who will have opportunities to remain within the Mambo Seafood family.” said Joel Moreno, VP of Field Operations

However, the brand’s two other San Antonio locations remain open and operating—one near the South Texas Medical Center at Loop 410 and Summit Parkway, and the other at Brooks on the Southeast Side.

For fans of Mambo’s seafood offerings, those remaining locations continue to welcome guests with the same coastal flavors and casual dining experience.

No word yet on what, if anything, will take the place of the now-closed Lackland storefront.
