Grand Finale Celebration Marks Completion of San Pedro Creek Culture Park Transformation

San Pedro Creek Completion

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 2025) — After nearly a decade of planning, construction, and artistic transformation, the San Antonio River Authority and Bexar County are proud to announce the Grand Finale Celebration of the San Pedro Creek Culture Park—a milestone event honoring the completion of 2.2 miles of revitalized waterway, now stretching from Santa Rosa Street to its confluence with Apache Creek.

This long-awaited celebration invites the entire San Antonio community to come together and enjoy an evening of entertainment, culture, and connection on the banks of one of the city’s most historic waterways.

🎉 The festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. with an open invitation to walk through the newly completed park sections and witness firsthand the vibrant transformation. Along the route, guests can enjoy bites from local food trucks and take in the lush landscaping, art installations, and thoughtful design that define the new face of San Pedro Creek.

💃 Entertainment will be in full swing with a high-energy live performance by URBAN-15, blending music and dance in a powerful tribute to San Antonio’s cultural heartbeat. The celebration also offers an opportunity to engage directly with the artists behind the creek’s iconic public artworks through a live panel discussion.

🎬 As day turns to night, the event closes with a magical outdoor screening of Disney’s Encanto at Mustard Seed Plaza—a fitting tribute to family, heritage, and place.

“This isn’t just a celebration of construction,” said officials from the San Antonio River Authority. “It’s a celebration of community, creativity, and commitment to preserving our shared history while enhancing our city for generations to come.”

The completion of the San Pedro Creek Culture Park not only improves flood control and water quality but also reimagines the creek as a place for gathering, reflection, and inspiration—a true fusion of function and beauty.

💙 The Grand Finale Celebration is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the movie and come ready to experience a once-in-a-generation moment for the city of San Antonio.
