Whataburger® Celebrates Teachers with Free Breakfast Entrée During National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5–9

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 28, 2025) — Whataburger is serving up a Whatasized “thank you” to the everyday heroes shaping the future—our teachers. For the fourth consecutive year, the beloved orange-and-white burger brand is celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Week, offering free breakfast entrées to educators from May 5–9 and awarding $75,000 in classroom grants.
Teachers can stop by participating Whataburger locations from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday, to enjoy a complimentary breakfast entrée. Whether their favorite is a Taquito with Cheese, Breakfast on a Bun, or a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, teachers and school staff simply need to show a valid school ID when ordering. The offer is available via dine-in, drive-thru, or takeout, but not online or through the Whataburger App.
This year’s celebration goes beyond breakfast. In honor of its 75th anniversary, Whataburger is awarding $1,000 classroom grants to 75 educators across its 16-state footprint, totaling an impressive $75,000 investment directly into local classrooms. The WhataTeacher grants recognize educators who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.
Since 2022, Whataburger has donated over $160,000 through WhataTeacher grants, helping teachers provide the tools and experiences students need to thrive.
WhataTeacher grants are part of the Whataburger Feeding Student Success program, the company’s signature community initiative focused on supporting education and combating food insecurity. Through college resource rooms, scholarships, school partnerships, and grant programs, Whataburger remains dedicated to fueling both students and the educators who inspire them.
