NEWS RELEASE: Loop 1604 North Expansion Project — Lane Closures & Construction Updates (As of April 4, 2025)

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Motorists traveling along Loop 1604 in North San Antonio should prepare for several lane, ramp, and turnaround closures beginning Sunday, April 6 through Monday, April 21, 2025, as part of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced a comprehensive schedule of weeknight, weekday, weekend, and long-term closures impacting five major segments of the project.
The closures are required for bridge construction, demolition, paving, drainage, traffic barrier installation, and utility work. All closures are scheduled weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted and are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Segment 1: SH 16 (Bandera Rd.) to I-10
