One-Night Closure on Loop 1604 Westbound Mainlanes Scheduled for Thursday Night

San Antonio, TX – April 2, 2025 – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced a temporary overnight closure affecting a portion of the Loop 1604 westbound mainlanes as part of the ongoing Loop 1604 North Expansion Project.

The closure is scheduled for Thursday night, April 3, 2025, beginning at 9:00 p.m. and continuing until 5:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, weather permitting.

🚧 Closure Details

  • Closed Area: Loop 1604 westbound mainlanes

  • From: Blanco Road exit ramp

  • To: Blanco Road entrance ramp

  • Reason: Pavement work as part of Loop 1604 North improvements

During the closure, law enforcement will be on-site to help manage traffic and assist at intersections as needed.

🔁 Detour Information

All westbound mainlanes traffic will be directed to exit at Blanco Road and use the Loop 1604 WB frontage road. Drivers may re-enter the mainlanes via the Blanco Road entrance ramp shortly after.

TxDOT advises all motorists to follow posted detour signs, allow for extra travel time, and exercise caution in construction zones.
