SAN ANTONIO, TX — March 27, 2025 — A heartwarming national sensation is making its Texas debut right here in San Antonio. Candy Cloud, the specialty drink café known for its custom canned beverages, boba, shakes, and cotton candy magic, is set to open its first-ever Texas location this June at 11619 Bandera Rd, Suite 106, in the Bandera Pointe Shopping Center in Helotes.

But Candy Cloud is more than just drinks and desserts—it’s a story of love, loss, and resilience.

Founded by Alex and Paityn Edwards, Candy Cloud was born from heartbreak after the tragic loss of their daughter, Evelyn. In the days that followed, it was the beauty of flower arrangements sent by loved ones that sparked a glimmer of hope. Inspired, they started Evelyn’s Acre, selling homegrown flowers from a trailer at local farmers markets. Though the flowers didn’t draw large crowds, the nearby food trucks did—and that’s where the spark for Candy Cloud began.

In 2019, they spun their first batch of cotton candy, quickly realizing that the joy it brought to children and families was something truly special. That small trailer transformed into a mobile haven of happiness, eventually expanding to include Hawaiian shave ice and, soon after, a life-changing decision to add homemade drinks like horchata, strawberry lemonade, and iced coffee.

By 2021, their signature canned beverages became a local obsession. When they found an empty boba shop in late 2021, they took a leap of faith and opened their first brick-and-mortar store in March 2022. The response was overwhelming—lines out the door, social media buzz, and a community of families creating sweet memories together.

Now, after expanding across the Midwest and Southeast with locations in Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida, Candy Cloud is bringing its signature charm and community-centered mission to Texas—starting with San Antonio.

The Helotes location will feature a family-friendly atmosphere, complete with their well-loved lineup of:
