Austin-Based Pinthouse Pizza Expands to San Antonio with Craft Beer, Artisanal Pizza, and Community Vibes

SAN ANTONIO, TX — One of Austin’s most beloved names in craft beer and hand-crafted pizza is officially making its debut in the Alamo City. Pinthouse Pizza, a favorite among foodies and beer lovers alike, is bringing its award-winning brews and artisan-style menu to San Antonio—marking its newest expansion outside the Austin metro area.
According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the new Pinthouse Pizza will be located in Northwest San Antonio, near the intersection of Loop 1604 and I-10, close to The Rim Shopping Center, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2026 and will feature a spacious 8,000-square-foot family-friendly facility.
Founded by six friends with a shared passion for quality beer, good food, and community connection, Pinthouse has built a reputation for delivering bold flavors in a warm and casual atmosphere. With established locations in Austin and Round Rock, the new San Antonio spot will carry the same dedication to scratch-made pizzas, creative salads, and their famous, hop-forward craft beers.
“At Pinthouse, we’re a little bit old school,” say the founders. “We make everything by hand, in-house, and when possible, with locally sourced, organic ingredients. Our commitment to quality and sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do—and now we’re excited to share that passion with San Antonio.”
More than just another pizza and beer joint, Pinthouse prides itself on being part of the community. They work closely with local vendors and suppliers, and they approach food with the mindset of artisans rather than chefs. The result? A menu that blends classic favorites with adventurous flavors—creative combinations that surprise and satisfy.
Their beer, however, is what often steals the spotlight. Known for its bold hops, balance, and drinkability, Pinthouse Brewing has earned critical acclaim across Texas and beyond. From their flagship Electric Jellyfish Hazy IPA to seasonal brews and experimental offerings, every pint is brewed with precision, innovation, and a whole lot of passion.
Pinthouse Pizza was founded in 2012, and its mission remains simple: to serve award-winning beer and hand-crafted pizza in a warm and casual setting.
Whether you’re dropping in for a slice of hand-crafted pizza, grabbing a cold pint on the patio, or exploring one of their award-winning ales, Pinthouse San Antonio promises to bring the same energy, originality, and neighborhood spirit that made them a hit in Austin.
📍 Location details and official grand opening announcements are expected as the project progresses. Until then, San Antonians can get excited for a new go-to spot where craft meets comfort, and every visit tastes like community.
