SAN ANTONIO, TX (March 18, 2025) – The Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk, a premier hotel nestled in the heart of Downtown San Antonio, has announced the appointment of Chryssaldo Thomas as its new General Manager. With an extensive background in the hospitality industry, Thomas will oversee all hotel operations, drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, and foster a culture of care and excellence in line with Hyatt’s mission of helping people be their best.

A Career Built on Excellence
Born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Thomas discovered his passion for hospitality early on, starting as a busser at a resort in French Lick, Indiana. This led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL.
His career with Hyatt Hotels began at Hyatt Regency Miami, where he served in multiple management roles before moving into leadership positions at various properties nationwide. His expertise spans roles as Front Office Manager at Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Assistant Room Director at Hyatt Regency Jacksonville and Hyatt Regency O’Hare, and later Director of Rooms at multiple locations, including Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay and Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa.
In 2017, Thomas expanded his leadership experience by joining Outrigger Hospitality Group as Hotel Manager of Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort in Hawaii, later becoming Area General Manager at Ohana Waikiki East. Before coming to San Antonio, he served as General Manager of Hyatt Regency Boston for three years, leading the property to new heights in guest experience and operational success.

Thomas brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a passion for guest satisfaction to Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk, a recently renovated hotel located steps away from the Alamo and the world-famous San Antonio River Walk. Under his leadership, the hotel is expected to continue excelling as a top destination for travelers, business professionals, and event-goers.
His commitment to excellence has been recognized throughout his career, including being named Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Director of Rooms of the Year for the Americas region. However, Thomas considers his greatest achievement to be fatherhood, raising his son Chryssaldo Jr.
